I now have Word 2007 and looked on Amazon. There are conflicting views on several reference books. Any advice on a good one would be appreciated.

Only you know how advanced you are.

I have purchased many books at Amazon, used books - beginning with Windows 3.1 on and up to Vista and Office 2007. All I have received so far are in excellent if not new condition.

Because Word 2007 works differently, you might want to consider buying used books and get a couple - starting with the simplified, on to Word 2007 for Dummies and others. When you can pick up these books for $4 or so you can afford to buy more than one book on the subject. I have found, since Day 1, that each author gives you a little different information or in a different way - so that between the versions -- you can "see" what they are talking about.

I hope you will consider the used books so you can buy several.
