My dog (Dalmatian) ate a couple of Ding-Dongs somebody threw out in the road (I couldn't stop her...she saw them before I did and inhaled them) and she was fine.

I had a friend whose dogs ate a couple of pounds of chocolate chips and went all around the house puking up chocolate...it was disgusting, but they were OK.

Watch the dog and make sure it's acting normally. Any strange behavior, call a vet.

But if it seems fine, it's probably fine. Don't worry about it unless something strange happens (like vomiting, convulsions, that sort of thing.)

Chocolate CAN be a problem for dogs.

That doesn't mean it will. Avoid giving it to them, for sure.

But accidents happen, and dogs usually survive eating stuff they aren't supposed to. Just keep a close eye on it and it'll probably be fine.

Firstly Dont panic!
How much Chocolate did he get and was it dark chocolate or milk?
A small amount shouldn't cause problems though with a toy breed the amount is much less than for a larger animal. A couple of pieces should be OK but a large bar NOT!
Not all dogs react badly and only seem to start suffering if fed it often. The Theobromine in the Chocolate can't be eliminated quickly and toxic levels build up in the Liver causing slow poisoning!

If he is showing any signs of discomfort, unusual behaviour or being sick phone your Vet!

You need to get your Yorkie to the vet as soon as you can. I mean, the chances are he will be just fine, but for a dog the size of yours, it can only take an ounce or so of chocolate to prove lethal or even fatal.
Better safe than sorry.

All depends how much, if just about a square, just watch hime incase he is a little sick, if a lot more than this contact your vet and ask if you should do anything. I've always been told that choc is bad for animals, but I don't know why. sorry I can't be more of a help.

It depends how much he ate, what age he is, and how many lbs. If he only ate a little bit i'm sure he will be fine, but if he ate a whole lot, you might want to call your vet.

It depends on what kind of chocolate he ate and how much. Call your vet to find out if he needs treatment.

It wont do anything on him as long as he doesnt keep eatting it!!

the reason chocolate afects dog is because an ingrediant in choclate can be bad for dogs. But the more choclate the dog gets the worse it is and the darker it is the more of this ingrediant is in it so dark choclate is worse thasn light or milk.

so it wont do any thing on him because he or she wont have eaten so much

hope this stops your worrying
all the best to you and your dog
xx

If he/she ate alote of it. Wait and see if he does something that he normally doesn't do like if he/she dont eat. Than rush as fast as you can because if it is not eating or drinking it is killing its self.
