so, i'm 22, female and the past few days i started getting lower back pains. tylenol and advil don't seem to be helping. the pain gets worse as the day gose on. the only thing that seems to help is a nights sleep or heat. but these aren't long term solutions. i don't know what could be causeing my back pain, i didn't fall or injur my self in any way... nothing in my life has changed. so i guess my question is:
1. what could be causeing my back issues
2. what can i do about it

Well since you are not on your period and the bed your sleeping on is fine then my next assumption would be that you have a Kidney Infection and since the O.T.C.'s you've been taking isn't helping with the pain then it seems to me you may have a pretty bad one. So what I recommend you do is go see your family doctor in the morning to where you can get started on prescription meds ie. antibiotics, pain relevers, and the pill that helps your kidneys filter out the infection (I have forgotten what its name is but I have taken it before) I had the same problem and this is what it turned out to be. Also I would lay off of any types of sodas, or heavily sweetened and carbonated drinks, as well as food high in starch. You need to drink more water and get you some Plain Cranberry Juice and not the kind that has any types of other flavors mixed in. My favorite kind of Cranberry Juice is Ocean Spray White Cranberry its a member and approved by the National Kidney Foundation for the promotion of kindney and urinary health. It's a little tangy but it no more tangy than the candy sweet tarts and if you like thoes you'll enjoy drinking this. I drink a 16 oz. glass full at the end of everyday and even more when I feel it is necessary.

Have you been consuming lots of water? You might have main issue's together with your kidneys so drink cranberry juice, which aid's. If its your slash again take a look at doing toe contact's to loosen your stiff muscle's if not anything aid's in a few day's you must inform your dad or mum's or see a health care provider. P.S. I do not understand how historical you're so do not take offence within the dad or mum bit in case your older. Also you might name a pharmacist and notice what they ought to say at the subject. After all they've been incredibly educated within the scientific discipline. Hope this aid's. By!

this cause of back pains might be from how you sleep in bed. heres a sulotion make sure when you go to sleep that you don't lay on your side or stomach you should sleep on your back. If this does not help it might be more serious and you should get it checked be your doctor.
hope this helps.

Perhaps your bed. Maybe you need to flip your mattress.

Another thing to check out is your kidneys. My brother went for a long time with back pain they thought was spinal/muscular that turned out to be kidney cysts and stones.

Sorry to be personal, but are you on your period? I have lower back pain every month, and Motrin (ibuprophen) seems to help.
