my familly friend hates me, or not?

Question

there's this guy he is married plus i baptized his son. but sometimes he is nice to me says hi, kiss on the cheek blah blah. but on other days he says hi to my mother and ignores me. sometimes when i look at him he bites the inside of his mouth, + he gives me such a starnge look, sorta like evil.

does he hate me? he has told me he finds me "cocky, & conceited"

unfortunately, i don't know what someone else is thinking, unless i ask them, and they give me a response.

perhaps he has low self esteem, so has to put others down to make him feel better.. ask him if he does?
