Clean it with a mild dishwashing detergent. IF you have heavy grease, scrape it off with a plastic implement first.

Then apply restorzit - it is just what you need to fix the areas the finish was rubbed off.

use orange clean the citric acid will clean the grease and grim and leave the cabinets looking shiny, never use oils to clean wood it creates a moisture barrier that dries the the wood out.

if they're really grubby, use **** & Span, and then polish with Lemon Pledge.
For regular clean & shine, I like Murphy's Oil Soap, it works great on wood and leaves a nice finish.

OMG the yahoo filter takes out the word S-P-I-C "spick" and span is a cleaner, not a racial epithet! LOLOL

This stuff is pretty good, I have used it quite often for residential purposes.
I suggest using bronze wool when applying, it cleans well, blends the finish nicely, and you won't have any rust spots later.
Use gloves when working with this stuff.
Good luck.
