Well let me ask YOU a question!
Why do what you do when there is a the loving Odin that
cares about people and takes part in our lives. He has so much mercy that he sacrificed himself for us but he could of just destroyed every one and every thing and started over, but he didn't.
Love joy kindness knowledge wisdom self-sacrifice faith is who Odin is and about and his hall is Valhalla forever and ever.

Things go two ways, mister. Don't be so credocentric. You're not the only one, nor you are the first, nor the most numerous, nor in any way special. You just believe you are. That's fine with me, do what you want. But leave everyone else to believe what we want, too.

Because I believe in Nature and in Nature males cannot produce anything without a female. On the other hand, females can reproduce without males through a process called parthenogenesis. Therefore, a Goddess gave birth to everything that is, and we are all connected in Her divine body. There is no sin, there is only love.

The world has been at war ever since your religion began, and it's enough already! The world was better off before the 'god' of Abraham gave the go-ahead for genocide and mayhem. I want to live in a world of peace and your religion will never allow that.

Peace is entirely possible, here and now. All we have to do is KNOW THAT!

LMAO! I don't worship your god - the Hebrew god. I've found that the gods of MY fathers and mothers are those gods that called to me, made sense to me in every way, and those gods are the ones I will worship, thank you. I've never liked bullies. I've never liked grovelling - god or otherwise. I don't mind offering respect if deserving. THAT is what my gods ask of me! That is something I can give them with an open heart!

How can you speak of "piece and love always" when the Hebrew god is well known for war, destruction, death. Just look in the old testament. It was the HEBREWS the Hebrew god helped. If you look at those stories, if you weren't Hebrew, but you had some mighty nice land, you'd better watch out! I'm not Hebrew, nor are my ancestors. I feel much better about myself when I worship and call upon my GODS not yours. If you want to worship a Hebrew god, go for it. Don't try to make others do the same through guilt. The Germanic gods protect me, they are my ancestors. Your god has never had anything to do with my people except to repress them.

I may respect your god and the fact that your dedicated to him. That only goes so far. I will not worship him, nor will I be so respectful if my gods are condemned.

Well, let's clarify this so I can answer you in an intelligent manner.

I do not consider myself a christian as I do not follow the christian tennants/church. Therefore, as "Pagan" means "Non christian" ... I fall under your generalization.

What is that you think I "do" that defies your particular god?

1) Is it that I volunteer my time to work with mentally and physically challenged individuals?

2) Is it that I have a deep and abiding interest in animal welfare, and I do my best to improve the lives of all creatures?

3) Is it that I made the choice to wait until a committed relationship before engaging in a physical relationship?

4) Is it that I love all my fellow man?

5) Is it that I don't judge?

6) Is it that I try my best not to lie?

7) Is it that I don't steal?

8) Is it that I give 10% of my disposable income (haha) to charity?

9) Is it that I'm educated -- to your faith and mine?

There are many things I do that are much more typically Christian in acts than MANY people I know who attend churge regularly.

I sleep each night knowing that I'm a good person, with a good heart, and a good soul.

But- in your mind, I'm technically a Pagan.

So what is it that I do that you have such a problem with????

Very simply because either they do not believe in your version of deity, or they do not believe what you do about that deity.

If they do not believe in your God, why would they worship him?

If they did not believe that your God is all of the things that you say that he is why would they worship him?

Should they just take your word for it? Should they just believe the Bible and not their own ideas, mythology or philosophies? Why?

If you say, "because He is the way the truth and the light", why should they believe this?

It is wonderful that you have found your faith and that it makes you happy. I have found my faith and I am happy with it. If they have found theirs and are happy why should they change it with nothing but your words or the Bible's words, or Pat Robertson's words to go on?

They do what they do because it brings them happiness and peace. Because it helps them to get through their lives. Isn't that why you do what you do?

You generally don't seek out what you already have. If they have a faith that they love and that satisfies them they won't seek out another. Everyone must find God or their version of Deity on their own. No matter how much you may believe that you have THEIR answer, you can't. They have to find their spirituality you can't find it for them or anyone other than yourself.

Loving god?? Surely you must be joking. This is the god that according to your bible wiped out most of the population by flood. Had babies smashed on rocks, and the grand finally will destroy the earth by fire. You have the nerve to ask why I'm a pagan? I'm a pagan because I refuse to be bullied by anyone or anything. I'm a free spirit. Go ahead and be a slave for your bible tyrant.

Greetings!

Many Christians do not believe the Dogma you repeat in the form of a question.

They just live in fear because they know what the Church does to those who resist "conversion", who resist "indoctrination".

Christians do not get a choice. Pagans do. There are no threats in Paganism, no Dogma, no "destroy everthing"!

Pagans make their own choices-there is no group of fat, lazy Priests who make all the decisions, take your money, give nothing but Dogma and phony "blessings" in return.

There are many, many good Christians. They help people, do wonderful things in the community, ask for NOTHING. There are many very bad Christians who do just the opposite.

So, peace and love backatcha-

/!\

I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you imply that my Gods and Goddesses have no love for their people? No mercy? No compassion? Are unable to unleash their wrath upon us? The story of Jesus is not totally unique to Christianity. The child of the God and the virgin priestess. The prophet, the healer. The call to care for those in need. The demand of ourselves for the service of something greater. If your exposer to my faith is entirely composed of Gothic teens and Hollywood special effects than I pity you. My Goddess will not condemn you for offering your worship to whatever deity has called you. That is between you and that particular God. If you are strong in your faith, pure before the immortal that has called you to His service, than my Brother or Sister, at our times end, we shall meet at that high table and know that love and light, is the same in all faiths.

Like kerrisonr I too am wondering why you would want me to give up what I do. Do you want me to stop respecting the earth? Stop recycling? Stop healing? Give of my time and myself helping others? Not learn about other faiths and systems of belief (something you obviously know nothing about) in order to understand why they believe as they do? My Goddesses and Gods have been good to me. I will not apologize for not believing as you do, but why do you find it so difficult to fathom that the MAJORITY of the people on Earth are not Christian?

You're asking why we hold the beliefs we hold - why do you hold yours?
In my case, I do what I do because I believe that all dieties are equally real. Christianity is a religion of exclusion, while my beliefs are very inclusive. There are many loving dieties, why follow one that claims to be the only one? Plus, Christianity has its dark side, too - the whole "burning in hell for eternity" side. I don't believe that a loving father would do that to his children, no matter how wayward they were.
