Well, I started high school and I just wanted a change. I wanted to be happier, I wanted meaning in my life and I wanted anwsers. I started attending my friend's youth group at his house and joined the Christian Club at my school. It was really intimidating to try to fit in and hope that no one absolutely knew I wasn't religious. None of my family is religious, so I was never exposed to anything religious. I went to youth groups at several Churches and I was really getting involved. The first time that I realized I needed God in my life was at a thing at a Church called Youth Explosion. It was really great. From that point on, my week was filled with God and the gospel. I guess the real point I accepted God was at a concert. That sounds really lame, but at a large Christian Concert. hahaha. So from that point on, I have been trying my best to become a better Christian, to follow the word and spread it throughout my school and community. I am far away from anything I should be, but I am working hard. I hope my family can get saved too. Yeah, so thats mine I guess. : / What about you? - God Bless.

First you need to read the Bible and understand that Jesus gave his life for all that we shall have everlasting life. Then in front of a least two other people(does not have to be at church contrary to popular belief) you have to confess that you have sinned and would like to change your life for the better and say that you accept Jesus as your personal savior. Then you need to tell your pastor that you have done this and be baptized. That's is basically it. Now after being saved is a whole different story.

When I was 12, I saw a movie about Saint Francis of Assisi. I was very moved.... I sought more of Jesus in my everyday life, in my music, my literature, everything.....

I found an antique wesleyan sunday school book in an antique store. I read the charming stories and saw how people who loved Jesus lived their lives.

I began looking for spiritual music on the radio when I was 14... I found Christian praise and worship music. I was on cloud 9..

I began understanding the difference between my upbringing in the Mormon faith and Christians of other kinds when I was 16... I didn't think there should be such a difference, but apparently there was.

When I was 17 I tried to go through the process to become Catholic because of the extent of the judgement I was faced with in the protestant circles. (I was a righteous girl... I still don't get it) My parents did everything within their power to stop me because they still wanted me to be mormon and have grandchildren for them... especially my mother. They knew that I was becoming Catholic mostly so that I could become a nun, so they panicked like you would not believe.

I stayed in the Protestant circles because after some years of having severe agoraphobia (age 18 and a half to 26) my parents got sick of me and arranged a marriage for me (when i was 20) behind my back. (tried running/hiding, etc. didn't work)

I had a child, and was able (through much difficulty) to get away because I was being abused even more than i was by my mother and her new boyfriend (now my stepfather).

I still want to be a nun (i'm 31) although i do not know if God will ever make that possible for me, for one.... I have a nine year old and two... there was a marriage of sorts.... so i don't know if that could ever happen even after my son is grown.

But I still want to try... if that is what God wants for me and I think it is. I have had many men interested in me but I do not feel totally right with them. I DO feel totally right with Jesus, and I want to sacrifice my whole life for Him....

That is why I still want to be a nun... I am thinking of trying to go and take the Catholic lessons again like when I was 17.

Keep me in your prayers...

With love in Christ @}}--}--}---

well, it's kinda long.

i was an agnostic from age 8. i was raised in a christian family.

i was doing drugs, drinking occasionally, and there are literally whole pieces of my life for months at a time that i just don't remember, i was being controlled by satan.

then, the summer after my 6th grade year, i was trying to open my window. my hands were sweaty and one slipped and went straight through the window.

i paniced. i didnt' want my parents to know so i made up a story about how it happened and i still have a huge scar and crooked finger...

that winter, my heater broke down because it couldn't handle all of the cold weather. i was staying in my sister's room (she was away at college) while they were replacing it.

i was really bored so i started reading these books she had left out. the left behind series. i kept reading them because of all the blood and guts.

that christmas, my mom bought me book 11. then that march, my sister had to go to a christian store to get a wedding gift. i saw book 12 and convinced my mom to get it. i finished reading it.

i started having nightmares, which never happens to me, about what would happen to me if the rapture happened. i was seeing acutally bible verses on the page that i had never even read before. i opened my bible to the page numbers i had seen in my head and it was exactly like i had seen in my dream. i hadn't opened my bible in years.

after a month of this i gave up. i took the hint and accepted Christ. i stopped running. it took a long time to clean up my life and i'm still not there, even three years later, but i'm doing so much better. i'm not as haunted as i used to be.

You don't get saved until you endure to the end... The Bible is very clear on this matter....

Matt. 24:13, RS: “He who endures to the end will be saved.” (So a person’s final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus.)

Phil. 2:12, RS: “As you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (This was addressed to “the saints,” or holy ones, at Philippi, as stated in Philippians 1:1. Paul urged them not to be overly confident but to realize that their final salvation was not yet assured.)

Heb. 10:26, 27, RS: “If we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.” (Thus the Bible does not go along with the idea that no matter what sins a person may commit after he is “saved” he will not lose his salvation. It encourages faithfulness.

Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same {Lord} is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

Rom 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
