You decide just how close a walk with GOD you want.
When times get rough remember this vs. Happens to everybody.
1Cr 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
But if your a servant to GOD then these fit.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

there are no such scriptures, the bible teaches us how to repent and to trust god believe that Jesus rose from the dead and to put your trust in him ,also to read the bible and to go out and preach to the world what he has done for you, that's the only way you can get close to god every thing else would be works and every body would be working are trying to figure out how they can have a hard life that way they can get closer to god my advice to you is read were god came to give life more abundantly not to oppress you with a hard life the devil is the oppressor who you going to live for the choice is yours

James 1
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
1 Peter 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
2 Corinthians 8 NIV
1And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,
1 Peter 4
12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Matt5:3-12
'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the Earth
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled
Blessed are those who show mercy, for they will obtain mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God
Blessed are those who make peace, for they will be called Sons of God
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of vicious lies about you because you follow Me. Rejoice! Be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven— for thus did they persecute the Prophets who were before you.'
