They are Fishtail braids and here's how you do them:

1. Divide a small section of hair where you want the braid to start (usually at the hairline at the front of the head or just behind your bangs if you have them) into two even sections.
2. Comb each section smooth.
3. Cross the right hand section over the left section.
4. Pull the sections away from each other to tighten the plait.
5. Using the pointed end of a rat tail comb, lift a small section of hair on the right by drawing a line against the scalp from the hairline to the middle of the braid about a half inch to an inch beneath the first plait, depending on the thickness of your hair and how woven you want it to look (more strands create a more woven appearance).
6. Add the new section of hair to the existing section on the right and then cross it over the left section; tighten the plait.
7. Again using the handle of a rat tail comb, lift a small section of hair on the left by drawing a line against the scalp from the hairline to the middle of the braid even with the section you just lifted from the right, add this hair to the existing section on the left and then cross it over the right section.
8. Continue the process alternating right and left sections, tightening each plait as you make it, until you reach the hairline at the nape of the neck.
9. Secure the remaining hair with a hair-safe ponytail holder. You can then let the remaining hair hang free or weave a standard English braid to the ends.
Tips: For a different look, cross the sections of hair under each other instead of over. Keeping your hands close to the head will create a tighter braid, holding your hands away from the head will create a looser, more drapey braid.

hope this helps =D

The top of those braids are known as fishbone braids. The bottom looks like two sections were just twisted around each other.

To do the fishbone braid:
This is best done when secured with a rubberband at the top.
Split hair into two sections. Take a small piece from the outside of one section and pull it to the inside of the other. Take a small piece from the outside of the other section and pull it to the inside of the first section. Keep repeating until you are finished.

Good luck!

They are different. They are called "fish tails"
It really isn't hard. You only divide the hair in half (instead of 3) then you take small pieces from each side (alternating) and cross it over to the other side.

Start with your hair in two pieces. Then take a small strand from the outside edge of the right piece and cross it over the right piece ... it is now part of the left bunch. Then repeat...take a small strand from the outside edge of the left bunch and cross it over the top of the left bunch...add it to the right hand bunch...keep going.

It looks likes Ashley Tisdale's is done that way for a while, then they just got to the point where the small strands they were taking were big enough that they just made it into three strands and braided it. You could keep the outside strands (the ones you cross over) small and fish tail to the bottom of your hair.

Here's what you do-

If you want it pigtail style, you do what you'd normally do- separate your hair into 2 sections and put the hairbands on.

Now, choose ONE side of hair.

Now that your have your side chosen, separate that bunch into 2 more sections. [side A and side B]

Now to start doing the braids, take small sections of hair from side A and put that hair with side B.

After that, take a small section of hair from side B, and put it with side A.

Just continue doing this, and it should look like hers.

If you want it half way down like hers [where it cuts off and goes to a normal braid] put the bunches of hair together and just start braiding it.

I know this sounds confusing, but just follow the steps and you'll get the hang of it.

Good luck!

this is a snakes braid is what its called. usually there is a hair tool you use. It is difficult without this tool,

1. you split your hair as if your going to do pigtails,
2. split on of the pigtails in half to make to sections
3. take a small strand from the right section and cross it to the left side. then take a small strand from the left section and cross it to the right side.
keep repeating this action til you reach the end of your pigtail

Start with a ponytail and begin with a two-strand fishtail (herring bone). Part way down it becomes split, still using the fish tail method, however before securing you twist.

Hope that helps.

THEY ARE NOT BRAIDED.

A BRAIDED STYLE IS THREE SECTIONS OF HAIR WEAVED IN AND BACK OVER AND OVER.

THE STYLE YOU LIKE IS A TWISTER. TWO TRANDS OF HAIR ROLLED INTO A BRAID LOOK.
