As much respect as I have for our British brothers and sisters across the pond, my answer is no. We are not in any worse shape than you. Don't believe everything you see on TV.

The sad thing is, not everyone will catch the derogatory nature of your "colonies" reference. I did, and I'll be watching you. :)

There is no apostrophe on a plural.

An apostrophe denotes ownership - "America's hamburgers"

Or a contraction "America is a very nice place"

becomes "America's a very nice place"

And I think you'll find that not all Americans used to be British. People move in and out of the country all the time.

Hahahahahaha!

Why, no we wouldn't.

That whole "royalty" bit is so lame, why would any person with any intelligence deem themselves a "subject" to any crown?

You're kidding right?

"White slavery" to a Queen?

No way!

g-day!

Thanks, but no thanks, we're doing well enough on our own, and would appreciate it if you would stop referring to us as the colonies. We ceased being a collection of British colonies on July 4, 1776.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to decline. You guys have your own problems to deal with before you get to ours.
Have a good day!
