Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars are the last teeth to erupt. This occurs usually between the ages of 17 and 25.

Your dentist will show you an Xray on your teeth and will tell you if you can keep or whether to remove those teeth. They can cause great harm to your other teeth and you gums if not removed. But some people have extra room at the back of their mouth so they don't require the removal of wisdom teeth!

You may never get them. Some people don't. Typically, if you are, you'll start getting them somewhere between 16 and 20. Your dentist can tell from your last xrays if you have the "buds" for wisdom teeth.

No "buds", no wisdom teeth.
