I just bought a fitness magazine about 30 mins ago. It was at the college bookstore. It was a sad impulse buy, a fitness magazine ( because I'm fat and desperatly trying to lose weight). FitnessRx.
Take the thing with me and look through it, Im totally upset with the purchase. Looks like I purchased a 5$ pill advertisment with little solid information on wieght loss. The women are all bikini clad posing next to bottles that promise "weight loss". I wanted something healthy and motivational .
I went back to the bookstore and the young woman there calls her manager because she doesn't know how to work the machine to do returns. The manager comes in and returns it after hearing my explanation and says he only did it because he doesnt know the college policy on political reasons for returns "because I could have just bought it , read it then returned it" (legitimate, but rude).
Sigh, I'm glad I got my money, but feel jilted. You live, you learn.

your thoughts?

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.diet-fun-now.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $6.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

I think you have a legimate reason to return. Do not worry!
I did similar thing last week. I was so hungry, so grabbed some some sandwich from the deli and then while checking out there was a Horoscope book on the shelf. Grabbed one with my zodioc sign. Got back home and washed my hands, then sat down to eat and to read my horoscope. The horoscope book was expired, meaning last year's horoscope. It was my fault which did not see 2006, but why would they keep it there for sale, it is useless!!. It cost me about $1.89 something like. I returned it. I do not think store CR rep liked it, but I know I am right.

Yes, because even if the magazine was too tattered to sell it could always be return to the distributor for a refund. Any magazines which haven't sold in an allotted time frame are always returned for refund by the distributor.

Receipts usually have printed on them the time of the purchase, so that could easily be checked against your claim of having it only for a half an hour. If it had been such a short time in your possession then I would have allowed the return that once for you.

You appear to another sad fat man, angry at the world. Best you hide away yourself away from normal people.

Or you could try the following, eat less and begin walking at first, 3 minutes a day (if you want to avoid thin people do it in the dark). Do that for 1 month, build up the pace the following month. Next month start jogging. Include swimming, cycling etc. Then direct you anger within your obese body toward getting rid of the excess.

Remember a journey of a thousand miles start with a single step. Today is the start, put it off and you'll be unable to get out of bed!

Rx = drugs or remedies. You are upset that the magazine had nothing but drugs or remedies?

You got your money back. Be happy. If I had a store I would make my policy ALL SALES FINAL.

Unless there were pages that didn't print in the mag or the cover didn't match the content....you are stuck because I won't be stuck for your impulse "buy/return" habits.

If I owned a store, I would have let you return it, but, most stores do not let you return books or magazines because, like you said, you could have read it and returned it. Just forget about it but next time look through it first to make sure it's the one you want.

your bad choice is not their responsibility to fix. You spent your money on a choice you made, they did nothing to prompt this. There was nothing faulty with their product, just your reasoning for purchasing it. From a business standpoint, customer service wise, the manager did the right thing, but had no obligation to fix your bad decision at the cost to the store. Hopefully you realize the manager made the right decision and you will make a point of rewarding that choice with further patronage.

While I agree that you could have read it, and then returned it, you could also have stood at the magazine rack and read it too (without buying it). I would have probably taken the magazine back too, if only to build a happy customer base.

One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to
http://www.get-thin-fast.us and order you free trial, also you only pay $6.95 shipping and handling. Good luck!

I would allow the return based on the possibility of building good will with a customer. If you were happy .... maybe you'd come back & buy something else. That's how I am ... if you make me feel comfortable ... I'll patronize again.
