The rhythm method is not a reliable method of birth control and will not protect from STD's. It only "works" if you are willing to track your periods carefully for months and/or take and chart your basal body temperature every day (for more info. google--"rhythm method" and "basal body temperature". This method is more often used by women that actually want to conceive.
If you really want to check it out, babycenter.com and many other sites offer an ovulation calendar. You should consider a more reliable form of birth control such as a condom combined with a spermicidal jelly.
Good Luck

There is NEVER a time that you can have sex without protection and be 100% sure you won't get pregnant. Even if you time it perfectly, there is still a chance that you could get pregnant. So to be safe, always use a condom and/or other forms of birth control!

There is no "safe" date! Use a form of birth control with a condom so you don't get a disease and you REDUCE your chance of pregnancy.... Better yet: Don't have sex and you won't get pregnant or STD!

I seriously hope you're not relying on this method. Use a condom or birth control pills if you don't want to get pregnant.

The date of condom use. If no one's using protection. . . then pregnancy is the least of your problems. Don't forget the many std's going around . . . some of them resistant to antibiotics and some will kill you.
