this girl i know(age16) has had sex with a guy(age22) and she has a feeling that she might be pregnant. she turns 17 in february.and wouldnt have the baby untill july. so she would be 17when she had it. can the law in missouri look back on her and say that she was 16 when 9 months ago when she had sex with this guy?even tho she would be 17 then. so would that guy be in trouble or would it be up to the parents?

yes they can, as a matter of fact, if she's pregnant right now, I believe the hospital, clinic, or plan parenthood should ask her who the father is and how old is he. Now, she can withhold that information and they can't do anything about it if she defends him. But I do believe the parents have the legal right to persue and file charges, unless other wise. I went thru the same thing with my cousin, she was 15 and her boyfriend was 18, she defended him and her parents did nothing. TX. And yes, it is statutory rape.
