Effexor, absolutely. Prozac has some of the worst side effects--and definitely the worst sexual side effects. Effexor has some, but they usually go away within a couple months. Withdrawal from Effexor is particularly bad, but if you do it properly with a doctor's help it isn't that bad. Prozac also takes longer to work--about 4-6 weeks compared with Effexor's 2-3 weeks.

I was on Effexor for a while, and it made me feel numb in a really bad sort of way. I didn't like it at all, but it could have just been the wrong drug for me. All I know is I'll never take it again. I've never been on Prozac, so I can't comment on that one.

Prozac. I don't like if much myself, but it's the first SSRI, works for lots of people with less chance of side effects and does not have the horrible withdrawal that Effexor has.
