Hi, my bf is currently in the boot camp is will be in A school in one week. We thought about to visit him over Thanksgiving. Knows anybody if they have school during those days? Have they curfew even there is no school? Is the curfew only during the week (Part 1 till 9, Part 2 till midnight, Part 3 Freedom) or on weekends too???

We got weekends off during A School, but we also were in duty sections, so once every 4 weekends we had duty. If he's reporting to A School the week of Thanksgiving there's a possibility that he won't class up that week and may spend the week in holding company (or whatever they call it now), which could also bode well for him having Thanksgiving off, and the following weekend.

if he is still on Phase one, he will NOT be allowed off base, Holiday or no.

Phase 2, he would have to be back on base every night, no later than 9pom most likely..assuming he is not on duty. They do not get weekends free until the final phase.

Pahseone: in uniform 24/7, cannot leave base,

2: can leave base but must be back on base by 9 pm. no civilian clothes.

Phase 3 civilian clothes authorized, midnite on Friday and Saturday.

Phase 4: weekends are theirs so long as they do not have duty, but must be in barracks Sun-Thurs.

Since Phase one usually lasts a minimum of two weeks, the chances of him being allowed off base are slim. generally speaking, he might have a 'light' day) shortened classes.. on Friday, but that's it. Full day on Wednesday and Sunday routine on Thursday.

Unfortanatly i'm not sure, however if its anything like the Army if your in basic or AIT (skill training) you cant have "visitors" he could get in big trouble especially if you decide to "suprise him"
Good Luck!
