I live in a Islamic country and we still check the labels because a lot of time foods like these are imported. I do not eat any of these items listed as they are not sold here. Also, a good thing to know is if the package is Halal or Kosher your usually safe to eat it. Some products use pork enzymes and we should educate ourselves on these products.. Also, Doritos and some chips use pork ingredients. If we buy Doritos my husband makes sure they are made and packaged in Saudi...

Not when they contain Gelatin no. I always look at the ingredients for anything i eat even vegetarian food because they can still contain red or white wine etc.

EDIT
Beef gelatin is haram too? Are these answers meaning to be sarcastic or do people really eat Haram sweets? What is the point people? Why buy halal meat then go and eat sweets with gelatin? You might as well eat a big Mac.........Skittles and starburst are not halal or Kosher.

I'm a Muslim and I love marshmallows, starburst and skittles. If you're living in a non-muslim country you only need to check ingredient's and avoid pork gelatine but if you're living in an Islamic country supposedly you don't need to worry about checking ingredients since it won't have any pork gelatine to begin with, but to be honest you can never be too careful with these things. If you do your job and check for ingredients and non of them is haram then you've done your part, but if the ingredient list isn't truthful (haram in some way) it won't be your responsibility inshallah.

theyre halal to me..
gelatin is made by a chemical reaction process of animals' bones.
Isn't vinegar made of wine? The chemical properties change when it changes.
