Yes, I am not your common girl. I want to wear a pink suit with a pink hat, and pink heels by myself. This is how I envisioned it all my life without a man. I call my own shots, and don't need a mate to assist me.
Now, my family and relatives are strongly unkind about it, but I am not.
What should I do? As for the registry when it asks for the couple's name, I put mine in and the Church's name. Is that o.k. so guests won't wonder.

Ah, the same-self marriage...
Maybe you and you can simply be "domestic partners"
If you find the right guy, will you divorce yourself?
LOL
I used to think like you, but now I am pretty much over myself. It is kind of freeing.
BTW, what will you be doing on the wedding night?

You know what? Go for it.
I know people are all up in arms about it but I see it as self-empowering and self-loving. It's a damn shame more people don't love and respect themselves enough to make proper decisions for themselves in life, and I think that perhaps this ceremony would remind you, on a daily basis, to be true to yourself and make the choices in life that will best serve you.
I, too, though, would be very forthright and explain that you don't want gifts, just the presence of people you love.
Good on you!

Are you 12? I'm strongly unkind about it too. If you're marrying the church that's not legal either.
This is beyond silly. You want to be a single, independent person. We don't have "unwedding" ceremonies, like we don't have "unbirthday" parties the other 364 days a year.
what you're wanting to do is have a housewarming party - once you get a house (or apartment) to warm.

You can get married to yourself if that's what you really want to do.
But you can't register for gifts for it! No wonder your family thinks you are being tacky. That's the same bullcrap as if you decided to have a non-birthday party once a month and asked for gifts.
Sorry honey but no groom, no swag.

It is an interesting theory. People will always wonder and will give their opinions and input, whether it is welcome or not. If you want to do this then go for it. Just keep in mind, you can never tell what will happen in the future.

I'm not sure you could legally marry yourself, isn't marriage between TWO people? I guess if you really wanted too, you could find a someone to do it but it wouldn't be "official".
