I've always wondered why Christians have to give God a male personification. If there was only one god, I would think it would be neither male nor female. Though there are some Christians who claim this, and say they use "He" because God chooses male pronouns. I think it depends on your view of God. Do you see god as a man with a body, or just a divine being with no true gender?

Thinking as far as the traditional mythological personification of gods, males are generally more aggressive than female gods, so I think a female God would do us nicely- to be caring and loving to our fellow man. So many wars out there; wouldn't it be nice for everyone to sit down over a cup of tea and chat? :)

Depends what creed you follow! Because you ask, I am going to assume you are interested in something like Wicca. That said, you would likely believe in a coexistance between the two, the Goddess as a means of creation and nuturing, the God as a protector and source of strength. Regardless, don't most religions value those qualities anyone? Its just a matter of how exactly you allocate them! Good question!

Goddess. A concept of Divinity which does not seperate creator from creation is inhernently healthier; the artificial limits that only certain people, places, books, etc. are sacred while the rest are not, that spirituality can only be experienced second-hand, are unhealthy aspects of monotheism, especially male-god monotheism.

but unfortunately, the terminology of Goddess is too immediately misunderstood as "Yahweh in drag." Thus, polytheism/pantheism are easier tools toward human-healthy religion.

I guess the word God doesn't have any gender.. !! there is only one word God .. Goddess was the word created by people .. In few countries mostly tribal people believe that God is considered as Male and Goddess is considered as female whom they follow..!! This is a mistake there is no word as Goddess in reality and God is of no gender..!!!
Only Humans have gender..!! If God too has gender then wat is the difference between Human and God..!! Then that god is not a god..!!

Well, I believe in both, and I feel there should be an equal balance between the two.

Though singer Jim Morrison is quoted as saying :~
"It only makes sense to me that God is a woman"

you asked great question !!!!!!!!!

god will explain him self ( actly his name is allah)

read the great answer

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.

other verse

Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

amen

God.. easier to figure out. Of course, if your Christian, probably a goddess, because Christians' God sure can be irrational.

God would be more than Male of Female... Something that divine wouldn't be something of this universe.

I embrace God's Word and God is "HE", not she. Even Jesus called Him "Father."

He said it, I believe it and that settles it. Anyone who believes differently, has been deceived.

God bless!
