As a Firearms Appraser & Gunsmith, I can tell you that additional details and descrpition are needed in order to help you identify this rifle. Would it be possible to post or forward a digital photograph of the gun ? Please advise.

At least my judicial philosophy interprets the constitution as an evolving document, and I believe that is how the founding father's envisioned it to be. The right to bear arms was put in the constitution to protect the people. When any citizen can legally get there hands on a semi-automatic weapon that has the ability to kill hundreds in minutes, it is no longer a form of protection. Maybe we do need protection, but I think a pistol should suffice. There is no need to fire off rounds and rounds of ammo at a mugger.

Could be a Browning perhaps. Belguim is known for good quality firearms. You might want to go to library and get a gun values catalog or visit a gun dealer for an opinion.

Break-open action? Falling-block? Send a picture to the American Rifleman, or to the NRA Museum.
