It varies depending on the state and even the city. In the East SF bay area, the four cities in my area have four different laws regarding fireworks. In certain states a couple types of fireworks are illegal totally. Eg: bottle rockets, metal based sparklers, roman candles. And then the city may make fireworks completely illegal or only allowed to use them in a specific zone or area. Sometimes, they will only allow them on the fourth of July.

So what I am saying, is call your local police department, (not 911) and ask them. They should know the laws, they are the ones enforcing them! LOL!!

Here in Oklahoma, unless you are whithin city limits of a town that prohibits them, anytime. My neighbors were setting some off last night. There is a place that sells them all year.
