If someone is addicted to anything God can help them and deliver them from that addiction if they believe and have faith and stay away from things that will lead them into temptation.

Sorry, or I am glad, I never had a sex addiction to be saved from, people that love God and Christ do not put any thing ahead of them, especially the lust of the flesh. Gal.5:19-23;

This is how you know the real thing, by their fruits, you will never hear of a sex preference this way or that way, as it is the last thing to ever be considered, as Christ, everything else was first and foremost and we like him will never get around to considering it, there is marriage for those with needs and that is the legal part of it for then.

I don't think I have a sex addiction but I have had issues with wanting it more often than my husband and we had to pray about that. You know truly .........we were designed to be addicted to Jesus. being afraid to be too ON FIRE For God and being lukewarm in your spiritual walk is what opens the doors to other addictions. We should be all the way in with Jesus and literally on fire and for him to much that people say
I think you are a Jesus freak.
That's actually a compliment and usually means you are HEALTHY. more of him less of me. More spirit less flesh.

Addiction is mind over matter. If you don't mind it won't matter. ANYONE can break free from the chains of addiction. Jesus came to set the captives free. Freedom from addiction is not easy but it can be had. You just have to make your mind up and deny that which has taken over your mind and life. You do have control over your mind and life. Don't let satan tell you any different.

I know many (personally) who were hopeless addicts (drugs, alcohol, sex etc..) that tried everything to quit but were only successful after accepting Jesus into their lives.

I bet many.
I read a study that said many pastors have watched porn or are addicted to porn.
I guess we all fall short of God's glory eh?

If they were true Christians they'd quit that instant. Just goes to show how helpful Jesus is. Here's a star.

One can only be saved from something if they really want it. If they aren't willing to do their part of the fight God can't help them.

I stand, united, with Nina and Sister Zeal. "For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." "None are righteous, no, not one." I thank God every day for His amazing love and redemption!!

God bless!

Christians are sinners like all of us. We are saved by the mercy and grace of god, not by our deeds.
