The purpose of life is to enjoy. You see, everyone, beginning from the insect, they are working hard to find where is nice food, where is sex. In human form of life, we have the intellect to improve those activities for increasing the enjoyment, and because that we become implicated in so many problems, individually and collectively.
Why? because we are now on a false platform of life, and therefore we are suffering instead of enjoying. Everywhere we see the struggle for existence. Everyone is struggling, but what is their enjoyment in the end? They are simply suffering and dying. Therefore, although life means enjoyment, at the present moment our life is not enjoyment. But if we come to the real, spiritual platform of life, then we'll enjoy.

Our purpose in life is to worship God, Eccl. 12:13: "13 The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man."

Frustration results from a life course that conflicts with the Creator’s requirements and his guidelines for happiness. Galatians 6:7, 8 warns: “Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap; because he who is sowing with a view to his flesh will reap corruption from his flesh.”—Also Galatians 5:19-21.
We find the greatest happiness possible now and our lives take on richness of meaning when we apply Bible principles and put first the doing of God’s will. We do not enrich God by serving him; he teaches us "to benefit ourselves." (Isaiah 48:17)

The Bible sets before us the prospect of eternal life in perfection if we put faith in Jehovah’s provisions for life and walk in his ways. That hope is solidly based; it will not lead to disappointment; activity in harmony with that hope can fill our lives with real meaning even now.—John 3:16; Titus 1:2; 1 Peter 2:6.

The meaning of life has to be universal or it can't be the meaning of life. And if the meaning of life has to be applicable to every person living now, has ever lived and will ever live than it has to be vague and indirect. A question.

So: What do you choose to make it?

At least, that's what I think. ;)

the purpose of life in the bible is the glory of God and a relationship with God....people go to hell to glorify Gods wrath(not undeserving, because wrath matches deeds) and people go to heaven to glorify his mercy(being forgiven of their evil)

one will find absolute contentment and meaning in the person of God found in Christ, but until they repent and believe they are a criminal walking the green mile of the calander to judgement day

the purpose of life in the bible is the glory and love of God
