If you've been a legal resident for 5 years or more and haven't been out of the country for more than a year, you can apply for citizenship.

Just make sure you do it right, don't make mistakes, don't tell lies, give them everything they ask for.

Good luck.

If the lawyers are telling you that your 6+ months out of the US did not break your continuous residence for naturalization, why are you asking us?
If you were a minor, and away at school, there well may be an exception for that.

Your question can't be answered with the amount of info you've given. Consult the Guide to Naturalization at uscis.gov

Umm, If you think you can buy a house and everything file for citizenship, I mean I would file and buy a good house before the country gets way too crowded I mean houses are costing more and more
