I like the first dress choice especially. It's actually a copy of a Maggie Sottero wedding gown called "Grace Lynette". You can order the original gown for a very similar price, which I would recommend as the dress is better quality and you won't have to deal with the poor service that some people have experienced at David's Bridal. Call a few bridal shops in your area that are authorized dealers of Maggie Sottero gowns (you can find the authorized dealers listed on their website) and get a price quote for the "Grace Lynette" dress. (I have found that the price quotes sometimes differ by up to $100, so if you want to save money it's good to call a few different bridal shops.)

The most important consideration when choosing a bridal gown is how it fits you. Did you try on the other dresses as well? How did they look on you? Sometimes a dress can look really boring on a hanger or magazine model but can be absolutely stunning and perfect on a certain bride. (Not having seen them on you, this is what I think: The second and third choices were very cute but looked like they might not be as flattering on most people. The fourth choice was a little plain but pretty.)

As for your wedding colors -- red is a beautiful color for a fall wedding. I think of red as a symbol of love and happiness, and, like previous posters have stated, in some cultures red is a symbol of good luck.

I personally like simple things so I'd go with the second one. But I don't know your personality. If you like simple go with the second one or the last one, which i also liked. The first one looks more elaborate than the others so if that is your style go with that one. But the first thing to remember is that you need to feel comfortable in it and if you are having a reception, which I am sure you are, wear a dress that you can dance in and not trip or ruin it.
About the red thing, I personality thing it is a lovely color (one of my favs) and in japan or china red is a sign of good luck and fortune and success. I've only ever heard good things about the color red, so I don't know where you got the superstitions from but they could be just that, "superstitions."

I really love the first and second dresses. Red would go beautifully with the first one. I read that red flowers (without white) means 'I love you' and is totally fine. But red dresses and red and white flowers are bad superstition wise...
As I'm a future army wife, I can see how you wouldn't want to temp fate, especially since he is being deployed. Maybe go with a really dark pink instead? Dark enough to look like red but not actually be red?
Hope I helped in some way, congrats on your wedding, hope it is beautiful. Good luck to your man when he's deployed.

From the links you posted I like the third one the best. I think so many brides wear sleeveless dresses that it just looks pretty "normal" for such an occasion. Don't worry about red/apple being considered an unlucky color or anything. In other countries, including India, it's traditional for the bride to wear red, not white. If your marriage won't work because of the color your chose then it's not the color's fault.

the first dress is really pretty, then it would be the last, then the third and last choice would be the second dress. i had no help in planning my wedding except for my fiance but of course i am the one looking and searching and stuff so what really helped me out is theknot.com. their checklist helps me out a lot and also the lists of vendors near my area that my fiance and i can go and look at. they also have pictures of everything on there. a lot of people have red as their wedding color and i don't think color will be a reason to end or break up a marriage. your love for eachother should be strong enough to go through anything. so if you want red go for it.

I like the looks of all of them, but someone posted on here a while ago about dress #2...she wore that dress, and the opening at the bottom moved funny and gave her an odd look while walking. I guess she didn't realize that when she tried it on...just something to note when you've got the dress on.

I'll also say, I thought David's was a bad bridal shopping experience. I went to other boutiques, and their prices were competitive, but the sales staff were MUCH better.

I love number three as well. Then number one. If you really want to do apple then go with it. Don't worry about superstitions, the marriage will be what you two make it not the color you used in your wedding. If you go with another color you might have regrets later because you knew you wanted red. Congrats.

These dresses are all very pretty. (Too bad the model is so skinny. Her arms look like cooked chicken wings.)

It mostly depends on your style. The first two are more formal and 'elegant'. The third has a lovely romantic touch to it. The last is less formal than the first two so could be more versatile in terms of where your wedding will be.

For me it's a toss up between the first and last gowns but I think I'm going to vote for the last one, it's gorgeous! I like that they're both quite original without being too trendy.

Good luck, I hope you have a magical day - and don't sweat about the red, it'll be beautiful and NOT bad luck!!

You would need to try them on but just from pictures I'd go with number 1. On the other hand I have both heard and had horrible experiences with David's Bridal and would never purchase my dress from them.

The other three are your typical cookie cutter wedding dresses. "Insert bride and groom here" kinda thing.
