I had one special grandmother (my dad's mom) who I called Nana. Everyone else was Grandma ______ (last name).

Kids decide on their own what to call their grandparents when they get old enough, and they may or may not make special names for the ones they are closest with. My son has special names for a few of his grandparents-my husband's step dad is Poppa, for instance.
