*Note*- I am not in anyway trying to put down ANYBODY but rather trying to understand the concept of religion.
Believers say that to really feel God's love and presense(the Christian one atleast) you have to have faith. Faith is belief that is not based on proof. As we grow older ,we create dreams (and even envision)and have faith in hopes of them coming true one day. The longer we let this dream manifest, the more and more we almost know we can reach that goal and the vision gets clearer and clearer. How is this different from the belief in any type of God? Please don't say that you JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE because I've already heard enough of those. Like I said am not bashing anyone but simply trying to understand. I am agnostic but the more I think about the validity of God, the more questions seem to arise on this...Is it not the same thing, you create a vision, it manifests and it grows on?and plus with religion there is already that "foundation"..please help me understand this...

there are truly a virtual infinity of possible paths; many have not been found or named by humans yet.
no path is inherently any better or worse than the other; such value judgments take shape only by how we treat others - and ourselves.
Worry not about belief - do you have to believe a novel to enjoy it? Let it go. Take a wlak in the woods, or desert, or wherever you feel at peace. Let your path find you.

The thing is I believe that God is everywhere .. God takes care of his creations..!! We dint have any proof that God exists .. but still we believe God..!! Sometimes i feel that God is belief .. God is a kind of belief which shared ur sadness .. which gives u confidence in ur self..!! A belief that gives u everything..!!
Religion is not related to God..!! Religion teaches ways to live life..!! U must not believe God blindly since ur parents say u belong to certain religion and u have to pray to that God .. u shouldn't do that.. U have to test Whether the religion teaches us correct ways of life and the most important is Does it shows the God .. whether he is a real God or not..!!

I wish you were Persian so I would read you a poem that makes it really easy to explain. You do not have to believe my friend, you just should do what your mind feels that right to do. and you are right that is pretty the way in which the god has been invented by the human mind. If i were you I would read Thomas Paine ideas in his famous book "Age of reasons". It will have a good influence on you

My belief is that the feeling in the pit of your stomach is the spiritual part of my being. I don't follow any religion, but I do know that there is something way bigger than me. If it feels right than its Gods will if it feels yucky then its probably a good indication that its wrong. (gut feeling). All, I think and feel is that we need be of service to people, be kind .loving, tolerant and patience, then all id good. God can be what ever you want it to be , mine happen to come in the form of Dolphins, free and playful!

i wasn't raised i was allowed to live. therefore i knew there
had to be a true source of good. those i knew didn't have
it but others i saw did. what was the difference? those
who were human were those that had a faith in ADONAI!
it took me Years to get the garbage out of my life. i
found out that there was a real evil and a real GOD. i didn't
just believe i had to find the good ( GOD )! it is a path not
a mall.

Think of God the same way as you believe in your parents. If they didn't exist you wouldn't exist, they wouldn't exist, their parents wouldn't have exist, etc. The difference is you and them will pass on at least in the physical realm but God won't. God was our creater. The first parent to us all.

Start by taking 10 minutes a day and be still, concentrate on your breathing and meditate, clear your mind of thoughts and go inwards focusing on the point between your eyebrows (with your eyes closed) you will come in contact with your inner being which in my opinion is "God" within you.

True Religion is about repentance and turning away from sin. It is praying to God and providing for the needs of orphans and widows.
