What I mean is that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," or "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Peter," or "I follow Christ." Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
1 Corinthians 1:10-13
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one says, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:3-7
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Peter, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's!
1 Corinthians 3:21-23

Behold, my Catholic friend – whom God and I love – is this not great news above? This is the Bible, and you are now allowed by your church to read it for yourselves!
You can see that we are not to follow Paul…or Peter…or any Pope!
We follow Christ, for it was Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was crucified for your sins so that you could be forgiven by God and counted righteous by Him!
Paul is nothing. Apollos is nothing. Peter is nothing. The Pope is nothing.
It is GOD who gives the increase! To HIM along be all the glory!
And ALL things are yours…and you are Christ’s…and Christ is God’s…
…IF you believe in Him as your Savior and follow Him as your Lord!
I write these things to you children of God who believe in the Son of God so that you may KNOW that you HAVE eternal life in His name! He who has the Son HAS life, and he who does not have the Son does not have life!
Glory be to God!
Is this not “Good News” – i.e. the “Gospel”…?

That is, "To Him alone be all the glory!"
...and this was worth correcting just to say again! And again:
To God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be glory alone!

No, Peter did not die for me but he was martyred for Christ. He was crucified upside down.
No, no Pope has died for me but some have been martyred for Christ.
We do not follow the Pope. We follow Christ.
The Pope is simply the senior pastor of our Church. Do you follow Christ or your pastor? All Christians follow Christ with the assistance of our pastors.
Jesus Christ in His wisdom set the Apostles in leadership of His Church on Earth. And Jesus Christ put Simon Peter (which means rock) as Earthly leader (senior pastor) of the entire Church.
The successors of the Apostles are the bishops and the successor of Peter is Pope Benedict XVI.
John 21:15-17 states:
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep.
Matthew 16:17-19 states:
Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
The Catholic Church believes the Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the "rock" of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock.
The Pope is the senior pastor of 1.1 billion Catholics, the direct successor of Simon Peter.
The Pope’s main roles include teaching, sanctifying, and governing.

The Catholic Church teaches in the Catechism of the catholic Church (599-623,esp 614-617)that Jesus, alone God Incarnate, is the all-sufficient sacrifice, the one mediator and savior
Jesus died for us and His death is revealed,"exampled" and glorified in the martyred dying of Peter, the First Pope, the many martyred poes under the Roman Persecution, Pope St Martin and other bishops, priest and laypeople who gave up in Christ their lives for us in witness to jesus even unto death.
Please check out :Matt16:17-19
Lk22:32
Jn 21:17
Acts 15:19
The Catholic Church also teaches that Jesus is the One Everlasting Head of the Church and that the present Pope is but His vicar and steward in the church in a particular time on earth
Let us pray for each other as members of the Body of Christ

We're to follow Jesus Christ and His teachings, the Bible.
Not a preacher,priest,pope..etc..
Any religion that demeans Jesus Christ as the One and only Divine Mediator,Is a cult, false religion.
The Holy Spirit Is the One who leads & guides us Into ALL truth & knowledge. Not a preacher, priest or pope.
God used many willing vessels to accomplish His will. But they were human just the same. We're not to worship them. Honor them yes.
But put your complete faith In Jesus Christ.

That's a really good question and it's cool that you researched all that and everything.
We would definitely be pretty bad if we just followed the pope for no particular reason. But we don't. We believe that the Holy Spirit speaks through the Pope in matters of faith and doctrine.
Mat 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
That's why we so firmly believe all that the Pope says in matters of faith and morals. By following the Pope, through him we are following God.
We're following what the Bible says by following the pope.

Yes indeed. We need to follow Christ and not any humans or traditions or organization or church. We need to follow the Truth, Jesus Christ.

Catholics follow Jesus only. They are under the leadership of the Pope on earth to guide them to Jesus, as the apostles did in the early Church. By the way the bible was always available to Catholics, even when it was in Latin. Here's a star, I didn't read the rest of your rant sorry.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Denomination is not important. We should follow Jesus and Him alone. Too many people are following man and not God.
