The only reason why I would get married is for the benefits, Social Security, etc. Since there is nothing to be gained by being married in the "eyes of the lord" it would be a waste of time and money.
Edit to Laff: we would get married at the Olive Garden.

Surprise! Yes, some have. Why do people believe that if you are an atheist that it's impossible for us to go into buildings or deal with people that do? We are not going to self destruct. We just don't have a belief in god.

well, since they dont believe in God and all(am agnostic btw) some might just to add fun to their special day...kinda like dress up, the princess dress(wedding dress)the castle(church) etc..Idk.lol

Yes and they will have traditional religious burials for their dead too, because it provides them "comfort" (see Kathy Griffin's "My Life on the D-List" as an example).
