I'm not Christian and no I won't be celebrating "Christmas". But if a person comes to my home in December they will find a Winter Solstice tree up (A Fake "Naturalistic" styled tree) and many trappings most people associate with "Christmas". Holly King will be bringing gifts in the guise of the Santa Clause. But I will also have many things on my tree that some people wouldn't recognize, a pentacle on top instead of an angel, quartz crystals and other gems, etc. and a large taper candle in my window to welcome (encourage) back the light.
Most of the Holidays celebrated in America today for "religious reasons" very rarely originate from one single religion and are normally a combination of several different holidays from several different cultures. Eater, Christmas, Halloween.... They all have a mix of religious symbols borrowed and shared over many religions. Christmas is no more "Christian" holiday than Halloween is a "pagan" one. (Have we forgotten "All Saints Day"; Hence "All Hallows Eve".)
A day, any day, is only as "Holy" and/or "Spiritual" as you choose to make it.... And if you truly look you can find your chosen God/Goddess anywhere you choose to find them. May that be for better... or worse.

there are various more advantageous motives to have a good time Christmas than in easy words Jesus's birthday or getting grants. i'm a born-back believer who takes position to maintain in mind that it is quite not likely Jesus changed into born everywhere round December twenty fifth, and the tale through the indisputable fact that's shown with the smart adult adult males and shepherds on the manger the first evening is merely Biblically incorrect. So it is not any longer really about Jesus's birthday to me, even in spite of the indisputable fact that that's an aspect of it (i do not hate listening to Silent evening or Away in a Manger at Christmastime, I merely don't experience that it is in easy words about Christ's birthday because lots of the traditions Christians have hijacked got here from the pre-cutting-edge pagan vacation). in spite of the indisputable fact that, it is not any longer just about grants, both. To me, and to thousands of thousands of folk which have a good time Christmas in an earthly yet noncommercial way, it is about relations, associates, peace and goodwill, magic and mind's eye (fairly for little ones), traditions, etc.

Let's face it...most people has left the Christ out of Christmas a long time ago. I celebrate Winter Solstice. But, I celebrate Christmas with other family members...gifts, dinner and being with family.

We Pagans celebrate Yule with all the trappings of the original. We decorate trees outside for the birds, home made gifts for friends and family, the groaning board, turkey, for the Harvest festival, beef roast for the end of the calendar year. With all respect to xtians, many of us feel the gifting has gotten out of hand, especially for the kids.

Christmas is not really when Christ was born. The date was "borrowed (stolen)" from the Pagans during Constantine's time. It is the date of the Winter Solstice....a Pagan holiday. *sm*

I've celebrated Christmas every year since I was born with my family. They never got me baptized. I suppose i must of believed in Jesus in a way as a child but never questioned it that much. I was open minded. I wasn't indoctrinated which i regret.

I will, but only because it's a family tradition. Not because I actually believe the Christ story.
I also enjoy observing Halloween too, but that doesn't mean I believe there are actually ghosts and goblins roaming about.

I celebrate Christmas and do not believe in God/Christ being the savior. My mother is Christian so that's part of it, but also we only do the commercial form of it--just exchanging gifts no church/worship.

The way I see Christmas isnt all about jesus or all about gifts. Its about spending time with people you care about. So yes, while I dont believe in the christian aspect of christmas, I will celebrate it.
