Bought this car , a vauxhall astra , in 1978. I was told it might be 'a pig in a poke'.. I took a chance.. hey presto!.. this car was absolutely superb throughout my ownership. Apart from the odd wear and tear and servicing. I sold it for £850 , with it's original engine and gearbox. Sadly , I learned , 2 years later , it went to the big scrapyard in the sky after a crash. How many people have kept a car longer than 15 years?

My first car and my second car were over 15 years old. My first car was a 1983 nissan and it was previously owned by only my uncle it worked for me until 2000. My second car was a 1989 honda and it worked for me until 2006, with only one previous owner my grandma. So I do believe many people keep there cars for long periods of time especially with the right up keep!! I am currently looking for a car and I intend on having it for the long run!

Technically speaking that's criminal. Is it ethical? in all probability no longer. If i had a daughter it is not suitable what she did i'd nevertheless enable her shop the automobile. Taking that away is merciless, and additionally hinders her from starting to be to be an autonomous person. If the identify is his, then the automobile is his. Its that easy. options to that are to attempt and talk with him and desire you may paintings it out. Or pass to small claims courtroom. See if the decide will take your area in the problem. via fact a present day is a present day, no longer a loan.

It purred like a kitten because he kept up the engine.Did'nt look too pretty tough. We took it to get a trailor & everybody stayed away from us on the highway LOL!
He would still have it if it was up to him.My sister finally talked him into to buying another & he still has that 1 too.

My family has a Volvo which is about to be 18 years old. Of our thee cars (VW passat, Honda Odessey, and the Volvo) it is the only one we drive in snowstorms because it is by far the most reliable. Cars these days just break down so easily. We have no intention of getting rid of that car any time soon.

Sorry about what happened to your car. Better luck next time.

Interestingly enough, they say that people who keep their cars for many years also do the same with their spouse or partner. I wonder if that is true?
