It depends on what you mean by testing god.

I have asked god to make himself known to me. So far there's been nothing but silence. I can only conclude one of two things:

1) god does not exst
2) if god exists, he wants me not to believe in him

I have to shake my head a bit at some of the previous answers.

One said they told God to make Himself known to them and are suprised to find He didn't. If you assumed He was real and the creator of the universe and Lord of all, who the $&^$ are you to tell Him to come to you? lol God said "seek and you shall find", He never said "sit back all comfortable, never lift a finger or use a brain cell, I'll just come on over"

Another says he prayed and prayed to have God deliver him from a crappy life. And exactly what did this person do to help himself? God gives us all we need in His Word, perhaps this person wasn't listening.

We don't "test" God. That is pompous to the nth degree. If you ask something of God just to see if He'll do it to see if He exists, you will be sorely disappointed. God gives from His Love, and that's it. If you want it for anything else, it ain't gonna happen.

This is a nice question ..!! to test god..!! itsnt the way by praying to god for something and to get it without any pain (as a god's gift)..
If u really have to test god .. See to that God is really unique.. no can be like him.. for eg: like god dosent have a physical body..!! he is far powerful than us..!!
He is no way comparable to any creature in this earth or in this universe.. If the god satisfies these basic criteria then that god is real god..!!

When your life is hell and all you do is pray for help ... and it never comes ... a teenager soon discovers that all the adults are under some kind of loopy spell and they believe in something that isn't even there.

If god doesn't help a kid get rescued from a crappy life when the kid prays for years .... then it's obvious there's nothing there listening and helping. Don't give me thumbs down because I was a kid and no gods ever came to save me from my crappy life. Pity the child whom gods do not hear.

It's "The Great Lie."

Are you kidding me? I test God's patience, everyday..he just has to keep teaching me over and over until I get it right...but he so proud, just like a Father,,,when I get it right. And I am getting more right than wrong now...I might be ready to stick a fork in and call me done....: )
