Islam is only similar to the Abrhamic faiths. Dont say islam is simlar to other faiths. Thats insulting the others.
The only faiths on earth that differentuate between belivers and non-belivers are the Abrahamic ones.

Difference between Muslims and Non-Muslims is not only
NAMAZ ( five times prayers) but also the following which other religions don't have
1. Fasting. Others don't do like Muslims do.
2. Zakat- Obligatory paying poor zakat on extra money you have more than 12 months. In all religions it is optional
3. Haj. Besides Muslims who else does perform Haj.
4. Jihad. There is no concept of Jihad like Muslims have. May be Jews have the same way
Please know your subject before writing on R&S so
Non-Muslims don't laugh at us Muslims.
Muslims women did go to Masjid during Prophet's time'.
Women do not have excuse for not going to Masjid except what is from nature for them. Unfortunately lots of old time Mullahs discouraged Muslim women from going to Masjid and they don't even make separate room for Muslims women in many Majids back home. So women think it is not necessary for them to go to Masjid.
It is not obligatory for women because they have more urgent responsibilities in home like taking care of a child etc.
If they can, they should. Otherwise where else they can gain knowledge about Islam. In most western countries Imams are well educated and understand Islam better and for that reasons facilities are being provided nearly in every Masjid for women to go to Masjid when it they can.

I share your worries about how many of us are daily visiting MOSQUE/MASJID. So, as a MUSLIM what will you do about that? You just cannot sit there and think what to do. You should go out there and ask all our MUSLIM brothers to joint you to the mosque. Tell them the benefit of praying together in the mosque or if your mosque is too far to visit... you can ask your friend to pray together. Instill in them the love of ALLAH. Slowly you will see the changes from empty mosque to full mosque in the future. Not now, insyallah your good deed will become a base for the good future.

The thing that differentiate a servant form non servant of God is Union with Master. The Master is the Light.Light after Light. The Light burns in a Masjid where the Master is remembered, regularly, morning and evening. The lamp is in high place and burns with olive oil neither from east or west, burns all time.
You are the Masjid in which My Master Lives.

Yes, I believe all Muslims know this. At least we should.
To Rev:
It's apparent you don't know what you're talking about. Isa (pbuh) (Jesus as you call him) is mentioned in the Qur'an as al-Mesih (messiah), which means the anointed one. As Muslims, we are forbidden to associate Allah (SWT) with partners. So that means we adhere to what all the Prophets came with, which was, Tawheed ( The Oneness of Allah). Obviously, you don't even know your own bible, because the first commandment that he brought was "The Lord Our God is One." He didn't say "The Lord, Me, is one", or "The Lord, 3, is One." But "OUR," referring to him and his followers.
If we deny in any of the Messengers-that includes Jesus, we are not consider Muslims.

Those who say Allah is the same as the God of the Bible are simply ignorant of both the Scripture and what the Quran teaches.
The Quran says: "God has no Son" and forces its adherents to believe God has no son, thus directly attempting to nullify the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Quran denies also that Jesus is the Christ/Messiah.
The Scripture says explicitly: "Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. HE THAT DENIES THE SON, THE SAME HAS NOT THE FATHER". (I John 2:22)
Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ.
In fact, Jesus said....your salvation depends on you BECOMING A SON OF GOD.....by being born OF GOD.
"But as many as received him (Jesus), TO THEM he gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe in his name, which were born.... not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God"- (John 1:12)
"Except a man be born again (from above), he shall not see the kingdom of God" - Jesus- (John 3:3)
