Usually for breakfast I will eat a granola bar and fruit, then for lunch usually soup or a sandwhich, and dinner is usually some chicken and a vegetable. Ocassionally I have sweets. I don't exercise, but there are people that eat a ton more than me and don't exercise but are way skinny. Do I just need to watch what I eat more or could there be something wrong with my body?

you certainly are not getting enough nutrients in your body for it to function properly. like many women you don't consume enough healthy fats and this decreases testosterone production which causes a decrease in the metabolic rate.

Well, its possible you have an extremely slow metabolism, or you could even have an underactive thyroid. First off, try eating 6-8 small meals a day and start an exercise plan. Although there are thinner people who eat more and dont exercise you have to realize everyone is different. Eat as healthy as you can as well, check out bodybuilding.com for more help or drop me an email if you feel like it.

Maybe your thyroid is fried

Maybe your digestive system is more efficient than others in extracting energy from food.

Maybe you underestimate how much you really eat, or overestimate how much other people eat. Or underestimate how active other people are.

There is a lot of individual variation in metabolism. That's not to say you don't have a physical problem, but you need medical testing to find that out, not Yahoo Answers.

maybe you just have a slower metabolism. try exercising and continue meals like these- because you shouldn't just eat healthy and not exercise or exercise and eat junk. a good combination of both will probably give good results. also, if you drink a lot of soda, that may be it. try drinking water with every meal except breakfast (oj, apple juice, milk, etc.)

You have a slow metabolism and you need to exercise. The skinny people you're talking about have high metabolism; therefore, their bodies burn calories faster. Exercising speeds up the metab.
