ok my friend has a ps3 wth a corupted hard drive and is going to sell it to game stop or eb games will they check for the corupted hard drive and if they find out will they still give him mony for it?

well see my friend is trying to sell his to game stop i am hopeing they will refuse and i can get it off him cheap repaire my self and then sell in casifieds

You know you can buy another hard drive for like 50 bucks...

But if you he must sell it, I don't know if they'll check but even if they do you will still get decent money for it. As they'll probly take out the Hard Drive and sell it without one.

They'll check for it to make sure that it's working. Plus, they need to delete any private info that he might have on the PS3, such as his ID and password to PSN.

If the hard drive is broken, he won't get credit for it. Just tell him that you want to buy it from him, and he'll get a better deal from you than he'll get from GS. GS has a policy of buying really low and selling really high.

You don't need to fix it yourself. Just take out the hard drive and put in a new one.
