I was lying on my right side, when I tried to turn to my left side, I felt a moving sensation in my neck on the left side. Suddenly was so dizzy I felt like the room and bed was spinning counter clockwise so fast! When I propped up on pillows on my back, the spinning solwed down a little bit, I felt like I was going to throw up, but never did. It took a long time to go to sleep. The next morning I was still dizzy, two days later I am still dizzy. What in the world has happened to me?

My Mother did the same so off to the Doc who gave her some medication. Thankfully all is now stationary. The Doc stated it was the 'quick' movement of the head from right to left that did it.

There are some OTC medications that will help but they can make you very sleepy. Meclizine may be helpful in treating vertigo. It's very cheap. talk to your local pharmacy

Vertigo is a symptom, not a disease. The term vertigo refers to the sensation of spinning or whirling that occurs as a result of a disturbance in balance (equilibrium). It also may be used to describe feelings of dizziness, lightheadedness, faintness, and unsteadiness. The sensation of movement is called subjective vertigo and the perception of movement in surrounding objects is called objective vertigo.

Vertigo Causes
Vertigo usually occurs as a result of a disorder in the vestibular system (i.e., structures of the inner ear, the vestibular nerve, brainstem, and cerebellum). The vestibular system is responsible for integrating sensory stimuli and movement and for keeping objects in visual focus as the body moves.

I get it when I have a sinus infection. Only antibiotics restore normal balance for me. Fell better. I know it is the weirdest feeling, right? You'll be alright, honey.
