And would anyone know where to get the powers upply? I've checked eBay and other electronics sites to no avail.

Something is wrong in your specs.

Power boxes are defined by two values: Voltage and Amps (which combined give you total power supported) (for example: 9 V /0.5 Amps). You can use a power supply that offers more current (amps).
So your 9.5V will work as long as it provides enough current.
