Other than as an affront to servicemen, I really do not see it being any more wrong (legally, not morally) than flag burning.

It is a statement of bad taste, but not much more (in my opinion).

Incidentally, I thought it was funny when Prince Harry dressed as a Nazi officer at a costume party. Oh, I know folks were up in arms over that, but it was still funny.

That's a huge mistake. You will eventually get caught by a veteran or someone serving. You do not want to go there. Plus it is extremely offensive to the men and women who have served and who are serving. If you want attention that is not the way to do it. Try something else.

It's a violation of Federal law now. Specifically the "Stolen Valor Act". You face a fine and imprisonment. You also might rack up quite a hospital bill if a real veteran discovers that you think your costume is "cool" and you never served.

In high school I had a girlfriend who had an older brother who would wear a fake Army private's uniform. When this guy would break up with a girl,he'd wear the uniform and meet her in a public place to break up.
This happened whem Khadafi of Libya was thinking of attacking the U.S. Meditterranean Fleet.
The Military Police showed up at the restaurant and ordered all military personnel to report to their commands. He ended up getting caught for impersonating a serviceman. And since the U.S. was at war this guy was looking at a charge of espionage. We're in a state of war now. If you get caught, you'll be charged as a spy.Care to guess what happens to spies during war time?

You know what is cooler? Being honest. I think that is completely disrespectful and anyone in the military would notice a fake. I hope you are not walking around with general stars on!! It might actually be a crime to impersonate someone in the military. Also, having the proper identification is much cooler and sexy!!

My friends died wearing the uniform,as many others in the past.

Take off that uniform and go earn your own self-respect some other way.

Or if you really want to wear the uniform...go sign your name on the dotted line and join up...I'll see you in the desert in January.

It is illegal to pose as a military person. People like you who have never served but PRETEND are disgusting pimples on the a.s.s. of America. Are you that much of a loser you have to PRETEND in order to get women interested in you? Seems to me the only ones who would fall for your nonsense are sluts and whores who you would have to pay anyway.
If a REAL military man catches you pretending, stand by for a big a.s.s. whooping. I'll get in line to take part.
You're obviously not a REAL MAN...but a pitiful excuse for a human being. You're too much of a coward to be part of the REAL MAN'S ARMY. I'd love to catch you play acting. You'd be eating out of a straw for a year and walking on your shoulders after I shoved that uniform up your hind parts.
I bet your daddy is PROUD of his piss ant of a son who has to play army to get attention. Did HE teach you how to do that? Did you learn from HIS example? Are both of you phony losers?

You have to be joking I hope. If not then hey we are having a cook out at my unit for the local DAV(Disabled American Veterans) Post. Why don't you come by. I'd love to watch their response to this question. Wow they really would beat the tar out of you. You know back in the day this would never of been asked and the thought of it would be ridiculed. What happened to society.

well whatever attention you get from the ladies will be rapidly reversed when they find out you are a poser. who the hell do you think you are? the uniform was not created for attention seeking creeps like you. i hope that this tactic of yours backfires one day and you get your *** kicked by a real soldier who knows what it was really like to wear that uniform, and what it really means.
