If these were fresh, uncooked beets, as a root vegetable, they should be fine unless they've gotten soft and wilted to the touch.

I agree to be very careful with old food left out.
Michelle, I love Pickled Beets too, and drink the juice in part, and used the rest in other compatible dishes, like stews. I often add vinegar to the commercial pickle for extra "zing"

no... no food should be left out no more than 2-3 hours. Alot of ppl do not realize the danger of leaving food out at parties over 2 hours. It can be health hazard.
When when u cook a meal..think about it. has it set there over 2 hours?
My mom liked cookin meals then let it set there on the stove. any one wants it. can have it. Even if it has been sitting there over 4 hours. nasty to me.

no......dont eat them, theyll poison you, and you might get stomach issues....go to the store and buy a new one if youre really in the mood for beets
