Jesus also said he came not for peace but with a sword.

He also said he would set brother against brother.

I guess it's picking and choosing the parts that suit you, and since the bible is so contradictory, just pick the parts that you like.

once you've a Bible, study Ephesians 6:10-19 it is the position that comes from. Why do not you get the e book, "The Message" in New testomony in case you pick an exceptionally present day and immediately ahead to study translation of the Bible. Or study the recent American universal. besides, a lot of folk remark about Christianity yet few have really study the skinny little e book talked about as the "New testomony"...... in case you have not study it, you have not got any foundation for remark.

warriors against the three big things that make men sin---The World, The Flesh, and The Devil. It seems like so many times that we war against each other, but it is the spirit that is behind the person that we do war with and it is just that sometimes some people do not realize this. Jesus himself called Peter Satan and Judas friend---how do we reconcile our thoughts around those statements? It is not the human but the others we are at war with and sadly many times they choose their human counterparts wisely.

Indeed, but you also seem to have it confused.
Jesus' message was: not peace, rather division.
God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace.

Jesus: is about division and not peace
Christ: is about peace and not divided
Mark & Avoid them causing divisions.

Jesus: is only the Saviour of Israel... by law
Christ: is the Saviour of the world... by grace
To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world

Jesus: was made under the law, and of woman
Christ: is the end of the law, and of transgression
Ye are not under the law but under grace if led of the Spirit

Eternal salvation is "through Jesus --> Christ".
Peace with God is thru Jesus --> Christ --> God
Be ye reconciled (thru Jesus-->Christ)-->to God.

Reconciled = no mediation required at all.
Reconclied = no intercession req'd at all.
Reconciled = to God (not Jesus nor Christ)
Reconciled = no mention of l-w whatsoever

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Warriors may battle for a cause they believe in, but hopefully they are also chivalrous, noble, and honorable in their dealings. This is often the code of any "warrior". Calling oneself a "warrior" doesn't have to be seen in a negative light.

There is a very real spiritual war going on between good and evil, between prayer-healers and disease, between Mankind and the hordes of the devil. The peace that Jesus meant, the peace that passeth understanding, is the peace a Christian feels at the moment of oneness with God in deep prayer.

Jesus was not a messenger of peace. He said "I did not come to bring peace but a sword" ... But he wants us to be at peace with ourselves..But because we have an adversary "Satan" we must fight the good fight, its a fight to keep our faith, to stand strong on the Word...Because Satan is a thief and he comes but to steal, kill and destroy all of mankind, that includes you too deke and all of Gods creation...

I think its cuz they had to go through all this crap to actually have people accept Jesus. Like the Romans killing Christians and other instances. They acted like warriors dying for their King, their Leader.
