Nu 34:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Nu 34:2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
Nu 34:3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
Nu 34:4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:
Nu 34:5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
Nu 34:6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
Nu 34:7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
Nu 34:8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
Nu 34:9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
Nu 34:10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
Nu 34:11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
Nu 34:12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
Nu 34:13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
Nu 34:14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

God the Father told Abraham how he could attain the "promised Land", the kingdom of heaven.
Moses wanted the "promised land", but in his mind it was a physical place on earth. The devil made a deal with Moses the same deal he tried to make with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus, the devil said;
If you worship me I will give you a kingdom and the riches in it,
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus all rejected the devils temptations, but Moses and Isaiah did not, Saul, David and Solomon, all wanted a kingdom. The temple Solomon built was the throne of Satan, it is six hundred threescore and six.
Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, Moses made an image of a serpent, (devil, the red dragon, Satan, I am that I am, father of lies, the deceiver, the anti-christ, beast)
and told his people to worship the image if they wanted to live. Moses killed 3,000 of his own people the day he came from the mountain after receiving the 10 commandments from his God. Moses killed thousands and conquered entire nations in the name of his God. Moses did many miracles, parted the red sea, called fire down from heaven all in the sight of men. But Moses made the image because his God commanded him to, to save the lives of those who were bitten by snakes, those who would not worship the image died. Moses spoke for the image to his people, Moses gave life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
This is Moses, now read Revelation 13:10-18.
The 4 Gospels tell of Moses in John 1:17, John 3:14, John 4:20-23, John 6:32, John 10:8, Luke 24:25.
And if you don't believe Satan tempted Jesus in the same manner he tempted Moses, read Luke 4:6 and 4:9

It is much smaller than what the "Promised Land" was originally.
Josh 1:1-9
1:1 Israel Conquers the Promised Land
God's Command to Joshua
After Moses, the servant of the LORD, died, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' assistant. 2 The LORD said, "My servant Moses is dead. Now you and all these people go across the Jordan River into the land I am giving to the Israelites. 3 I promised Moses I would give you this land, so I will give you every place you go in the land. 4 All the land from the desert in the south to Lebanon in the north will be yours. All the land from the great river, the Euphrates, in the east, to the Mediterranean Sea in the west will be yours, too, including the land of the Hittites. 5 No one will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forget you.
6 "Joshua, be strong and brave! You must lead these people so they can take the land that I promised their fathers I would give them. 7 Be strong and brave. Be sure to obey all the teachings my servant Moses gave you. If you follow them exactly, you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Always remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything. 9 Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't be afraid, because the LORD your God will be with you everywhere you go." NCV

While Abraham had a giant institution of persons with him, they have been rarely sufficient to fill a giant land akin to Canaan and the special promise used to be that God might deliver the land to Abraham's descendants, which He did. Canaan used to be a land of wealthy assets and the Canaanites fought towards wasting it. The rationale God informed the Israelites to break them used to be when you consider that they have been an excessively evil persons who worshiped fake gods or even sacrificed their kids by means of throwing them into a fireplace. When the Israelites took the land, the Canaanites have been truthfully completed by means of God's will.

Genesis 17:7-8: "I will maintain my covenant with you and your descendants after you throughout the ages as an everlasting pact, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. I will give to you and to your descendants after you the land in which you are now staying, the whole land of Canaan, as a permanent possession."
It is interesting that God supposedly used the phrase
"I will give to you and to your descendants after you"
God never actually gave the land to Abraham. Abraham died without ever taking full control of the land. Abraham's descendants eventually took over the land, of course.
However, God did not say "I will give to your descendants the land". God said he would give it to Abraham AND his descendants. According to the bible, this a promise that God never fulfilled.
Another interesting bit of info related to this subject is that in Romans. 4:13, Paul claims that God actually promised Abraham the ENTIRE WORLD!
13 It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
This may seem to be a strange thing for Paul to say, because in the Old Testament, God didn't promise Abraham the entire world, he was only promised the "Holy Land".
So, where did Paul get this from?
There is a book that wasn't included in the Christian bible called the Book of Jubilees. In that book, Abraham was promised the entire world by God.
Jubilees 22:13, 14: “May the Most High God give you all the blessings with which he has blessed me [Abraham] and with which he blessed Adam and Noah...May he cleanse you from all sin and defilement, so that he may forgive you all your transgressions, and your erring through ignorance. May he strengthen you and bless you, and may you inherit all of the earth.”
Jubilees 32:19: “And I shall give to your [Jacob’s] offspring all of the land under heaven and they will rule in all nations as they have desired. And after this all of the earth will be gathered together and they will inherit it forever.”
So, it appears that according to the scriptures that Paul acknowledged as true, the Jews would someday rule over the entire planet.
Obviously, the current size of the nation of Israel is a bit smaller than the size of the entire planet.
Of course, who knows how many of the presidents and other rulers of the countries today might have some Jewish blood in them...
Also, since the Arabs are supposedly descended from Abraham too, that greatly increases the part of the Earth that is controlled by the descendants of Abraham.
Back to the "Promised Land" subject...
Another interesting thing in the Book of Jubilees is that it gives the history that explains why Abraham was promised that particular bit of the Middle East.
According to the Book of Jubilees, Noah divided up the world between his sons and their children. The part of world that contains Israel was given to the ancestor of Abraham by Noah. However, Canaan, the ancestor of the Canaanites, decided he didn't like the piece of land that Noah gave him and he decided he was going to settle in land that would eventually become know as the "holy land", despite the fact that the land had been given to someone else by Noah.
So, that is the supposed reason why God felt that Abraham should be given that land despite the fact that there were already other people living there.

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
The extent of land you are looking for was not just some sand pit in the middle east. If you will but examine the fact the promise to Abraham goes back to the DOMINION MANDATE given to Adam. It is a GENETICALLY LINKED promise. Therefore the importance of racial purity found in the Scripture by those with eyes to see, as it also relates to the WAR being spoken of in it. Yahshua, and all true believers, proclaim the GLDA TIDING OF THE KINGDOM. This relates to the KING DOMINION Mandate PROMISE. Yahshua will bring in a WORLD WIDE DICTATORSHIP where the mandate given to ADAM will come to total fruition. The LAND in fact is ALL THE WORLD. Thy KINGDOM COME, THEY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH, as it is in heaven. Of course, the very nature of the Adversary has hidden the facts of the genetic warfare, and therefore hids the fact of a world wide dictatorship promise in the process. Those fooled by the lies of the Adversary REJECT the facts of the racial importance of scripture. Romans 9 is one of the best chapters to see it if you are person enough to live with the fact that ONLY the REMNANT of physical ISRAYL can be part of this rulership in league with Yahshua. ALL of Abraham's children are SPECIFICALLY excluded EXCEPT Isaac. THen he goes further and tells you ESAU is excluded. This means Billions of THINGS most people call men are not at all concidered such by Yahweh. The 'gentiles' Paul makes mention of, the ones not a people, are SPECIFICALLY the decendants of HOUSE OF ISRAYL which had been taken into Asyrian captivity and later brought to the APPOINTED PLACE 2 Sam 7:10 which CANNOT be in the middle east. The land promised was the entire world, and this will soon manifest only after much destruction and billions die.
Gen_12:3, Gen_17:4, Gen_17:5, Gen_17:16, Gen_22:17, Gen_22:18, Gen_28:14, Gen_49:10; Psa_2:8, Psa_72:11
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.

God gave Abraham all the land he could see over his lifetime. That would mean most of the middle east, including Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Present day Israel is tiny by comparison.
