It depends on how you define spiritual. The dictionary definitions I have encountered mainly associate it with religion and spirits existing outside a physical body. I do consider myself a spiritual person and an atheist in the sense of cultivating higher awareness of our interconnections with each other and the world and also when I cultivate within in myself a deeper appreciation for others and life. In this regard I am focusing on cultivating appreciation beyond just material concerns and matters.

As an atheist, I also consider myself to be "spiritual". Many people connect that word with religion, but that I tend to equate it more with peace of mind and, like you said, connection to the earth and mind/body.

The times I happen to feel the most spiritual are when I'm with the people I love, listening to music, playing music, and especially the times when I'm surrounded by the beauty of nature. Those are the things I hold "sacred" - people, the earth, life, and music. Not some superior being.

The Vedic culture is overrun with atheists who besides the fact that they are atheist still accept that they are Brahman. Which is to say that they are eternal spirit. The problem with west is basically it is full of Christians and anti-Christians(atheists) which are in truth the same things because they have no other source of wisdom from which they educate themselves. Read the Bhagavad Gita

Spirituality is not all about a belief in God. When we are spiritual we are learning to live with others in love and peace.

one does not have to believe in god to be spiritual. we have a spirit for every task we do. get in the spirit of things, get in the spirit of the holidays, get in the hunting spirit, etc.. spiritualism can also be seen as enthusiasm for what we like to do. it give us peace and a sense of accomplishment.

Depends on how you classify spiritual. If it is "other worldly" then you would have to say "no". but if you classify it as believing in something then you would have to say "yes".
