i like to crack but not pop...pop kinda scares me. it makes me feel like I'm going to break a bone. i crack my toes and fingers and have been addicted to it since i was a little kid around like 5 years old. it doesn't hurt because i have been cracking it for so long but i don't crack my back or neck as much and when my bf does it for me it kinda hurts a little but i feel better when it's done.iv also heard cracking like your fingers is good for your bones too. the doctor said that to me when i was cracking them...i was like maybe it's not the best thing to do in front of a doctor lol but he said he does it too and it's good for them because it prevents arthritis.

The spine contains the main nerve cord in the human body and when individual vertabrae start pressing on the spinal cord then it causes pain and discomfort because the alignment has gotten out of position but after someone has properly manipulated the neck and backbone then it causes things to "Pop" back into position again thus relieving the pressure and pain that was being felt.

It feels good because its a release. But stop doing this Grace, I use to do it all the time. It's not good for your neck, your causing friction in your bones, that can lead to arthritis. It's more of a nervous OCD thing, your neck really doesn't need cracked.

Grace,
When you get you back in line the blood can flow freely and that I believe is why it feels so good. Also relieves pressure on some of the nerves. I have a good deal of experience with Chiropractors.
Peace,
Lenny
