im not sure. i do know tho that at my husbands church him and everyone else gives10% of their gross earnings. i dont like it but he is a member and says God demands it. anyhoo thats usually a $100 a week that he gives so with the many many members most churches have thats quite a bit of money!! and i do now some workers dont get paid, its more or less volunteer work for God. im not sure in other churches but in hubbys church for example the sunday school teachers, the cleaning people ect dont get paid. and im not sure they incur many church expenses since they hold church in an office building since the pastor is also an accountant. they are supposedly saving to buy a church....

Our pastor mentions that stuff from time to time, and it's really easy to ask for it. Most of our church income comes from other churches. But we're a missionary church. And we do NOT get support from the government. In fact, we are currently being persecuted by 'code enforcement', and we may only have a couple of weeks left before being shut down for no good reason. And this in America, where such things aren't supposed to be POSSIBLE.

almost all of church homes and different religious our bodies are integrated so as that they might do issues like get city utilities, enter into contracts for factors and mortgages, hire a janitor or secretary, etc. additionally they have budgets, except they're VERY small. in case you prefer to understand, ask to confirm a replica of the fee variety. maximum church homes, synagogues, and mosques function on a shoestring; for each "megachurch" of any faith, there are dozens of small congregations of human beings only attempting to do solid artwork of their very own community.

I'm a parishioner, not a stockholder. The books of my parish church are open should I wish to peruse them, but I don't demand a detailed accounting of where "my" money goes nor an annual report. I'm satisfied that funds are handled prudently.

1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) Yes. a) Yes. b) Yes.
4) Yes. However - the government gives us nothing besides a tax break.
And yes, every member of my parish knows as well...as we have an open Vestry meeting every month...and our treasurer provides all of us with a monthly financial report, listing each and every expenditure and the exact amount that comes in.

One of my clients is a pastor and he and his wife live in a luxurious home in a swanky gated community. Their church is on primo property on top a huge hill and the steeple is probably 100 feet tall. I also have a couple clients who happen to be in their congregation and know their tithing is quite large....hmmmmm?

That's why you're supposed to dedicate some portion of your income if you've decided to become a member of a church.

it is not easy to account for money given to the church. The pastor usually has a couple shiny sportscars kept at one of his other homes the church pays for. There is likely a few young girls or boys the pastor is keeping for his own flock and he also needs to pay for their needs.
