If she is a U.S. citizen, she legally can't. I doubt there will be anyone enforcing it, but some of your older folks may be upset by it. Honestly, I was so full of energy on my wedding day and the only alcohol I had was for the toasts. That is the one day you don't need liquor to be happy!

I don't know about the drinking law and the legal age to drink in the US, I thought it was 21, but then again I have only visited Miami and I was too young to drink at 20 there. In the UK the legal age is 18, so if she lived in the UK then yes she could legally drink. I'd check out your state law, don't want her being a bad girl and getting arrested for drinking.

in case you're under the criminal ingesting age sure they might. No place that cares approximately their company might serve you inspite of who you're interior the marriage party. in the event that they are caught serving an under age person, they danger dropping their liquor license. they gets a superb and the guy who served you will get a superb for serving you. the two the corporate proprietor and the guy who serves you will ought to circulate to courtroom. You having a lager isn't worth all that to them. A experience venue like a reception hall, has to maintain on with an identical policies a bar or eating place might with regard to serving alcohol. If it replaced into on a privately owned sources, whomever owns the valuables could be responsible and be the recipient of the fines.

In SOME states, a wife can legally drink if her husband is 21. Don't ask me how it works or why its legal....check on it in your state. Drinking should be the last thing on her mind. I was over 30 when I got married and I NEVER finished a drink through the reception. I didn't have time. I'd get a drink, put it down to dance or talk to people and lose the drink. She may be all worried or wondering for nothing. She be more concerned with tending to her guests and spending time with them (by dancing or thanking them for coming). Most brides and grooms don't have as much time to drink as you might think.

No.. To drink in the US you generally have to be 21.
Ignore what almost everyone else says. (I've seen one that claims to know for a fact what her state law is and one that has provided a link to her state's exceptions). If you want to know if your state has an exception, look up their liquor laws.

If they're having their reception somewhere that serves alcohol, they should not plan on relying on some obscure exception to a law. The bar may have a policy of no underage alcohol.

I can't help but laugh at all the people pleading with the asker to not get married so young.

IT ISN'T HER, PEOPLE!

Tell your friend to look into state laws and ask a local police officer. If nothing else, Martinelli's sparkling cider looks just like champagne, and it's what my fiancee and I will have, and we're 25!

No. She cannot and should not.

The law doesn't state she can if she's married and her husband is 21 or over, or if her parents give it to her, or if it is in a private place.

The law states no drinking for anyone under 21. Period. If this gets found out and prosecuted, she will be causing a world of pain for a lot of people.

No she can't.

In fact...if she does her wedding will probably be crashed. Her mom might not care because it's her "special day"....but the location definately will. They have to protect their liquor license and getting busted with underage drinkers is a surefire way to loose it: bride or not. I work in the wedding industry and trust me when I tell you they have staff keeping a close eye out for things like that and if they are smart your friend will have to sign a waiver saying she won't drink that comes with a hefty fine if she does.

So I mean hey....if the risk of having her entire wedding publicly and embarrasingly shut down and having herself popped in jail is worth that shot then go ahead and tip it back.

If you're in the US, the legal drinking age is 21, regardless of the circumstances. No, she would not legally be permitted to consume, or be served alcohol at her wedding.
