NEVER NEVER wear jeans to an audition. An agency audition is actually like any other audition - they will regard how you present yourself to the agency the way that you will present yourself for an audition that they could send you out for. Dress in sold colours if you can - black is a safe choice and something that is flattering but simple. Good luck!!

Maybe if you're auditioning for some kind of a "sporty girl" role - that'll work.

But if you're just doing a general audition - I would wear nice clothing in solid colors - preferably black. You really don't want them looking at your clothes - you want them looking at your face. A nice black blouse - with black slacks or a skirt is good. Shoes that you can move well in - so not really high heels - but not sneakers either.

Might I add that if the audition is for John Robert Powers (JRP) - you should be very cautious. Many people will tell you that they are scammers. So many of the the agencies want your money upfront. NEVER pay them money up front. The other ploy they will use is to get you to take their high priced classes - promising you lots of auditions and chances at fame once they've "trained" you. Their classes are NOT that good. No better than what you could get from a local theatre company - and probably not as good as that - and yet usually much more expensive. I know you didn't ask anything about that - but I've seen so many young aspiring performers be taken advantage of these folks that I felt obligated to share my knowledge about them with you.

Here's a story...

Plus - you can just do a search on the internet using the words John Robert Powers and scam - and I'm sure a bunch of stuff will pop up.

Break a leg at your audition!!!

What R U auditioning for? If it is an acting role. possibly dress in the style of the role, if you see what I mean. If it is for singing, is that what U would wera to perform in? If not, may I suggest that you might wear your stage clothes. Hope this helps.

You should really do as they say dress to impress. The style you mentioned is normal everyday for most people and therefore boring for your type of event.

You should do something in between halloween, a wedding, and old age. Have fun!

if it's a blind audition i would wear whatever i wanted to if you want to wear your jeans that is fine but if it's not a blind audtion i would look nice even if its just dress pants and a collared shirt.
