I just picked up my new glasses from Walmart last night. I havent been able to wear them yet. Once I got home, I noticed that they are too small for my face and with the square lenses they don't look good at all. Of course when I tried on the test frames on in the store, it was hard to tell without my perscription lenses and not being able to see clearly.

Does anyone know if perscription frames/glasses can be returned for such an issue??

at walmart, no they probally wont let you return them
you'll have to purchase new ones and keep the old ones

i know people who also work at walmart(in management) and "walmarts" new policy is that the costumer is not right, they will be rude with you when you try to return them, walmart is changing- and the customers are not going to be able to get away with anything like returns with out a fight, that is why they have so many law suits against them

so they will put up a fight once you try returning them, thus making you to have to purchase another pair, since you were fitted for them prior to purchasing and should have said something then, instead of waiting

You should have taken a digital camera along and taken a picture of yourself in the frames. Or, you could have shopped someplace like Lenscrafters where they charge everyone higher prices to cover the cost of the people who change their minds and want different frames.

There are quality standards that apply to eyeglasses, but they apply to things like the quality of the lens, not whether the glasses make you look funny.

Now, it is possible that the lenses could be recut to fit another frame; whether Walmart can or would do this is the question. It is also possible that they are kind and will cut you a deal on a different pair of glasses. It doesn't hurt to ask.

The only way to know for sure is to call the optical center and ask them. If you don't like their answer, ask for a manager. In response to the previous answerer--dont answer a question if you don't know the answer!
I work at Walmart and I have done refunds at the optical center before.
