Yes!

This is the Sabbath according to the New Covenant:

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ
( Colossians 2 )

This is exactly why so many Christians are judging each other on this matter - because the Bible says not to judge each other on this matter.

Jesus encountered people like this when he walked on the Earth, he said:

45 "Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! "
( John 8 )

And also:
1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, "Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath."

3 He answered, "Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5 Or haven't you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day and yet are innocent? 6 I tell you that one greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
( Matthew 12 )

And what does Jesus being the Lord of the Sabbath mean?

Exodus 31:13
"Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy."

Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. And he wanted people to remember it all through th generations so that when He came, people would know him. HE MAKES US HOLY! And so Jesus said:

Mark 2:27
Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."

It was made for man so that we could recognize Jesus, the Lord is Our Redeemer.

That's not a Christian tradition, but it really, really, should be. For one thing, it would end this stupid worthless bickering once and for all. We can worship, gather to worship God anytime, any where. But will you yourself understand? Why won't people understand?

No. I don't need to cease from work in order to remember a day or remember God.

My rest is found in Christ, and I and all true believers enter into that rest through faith. The sabbath was but a shadow of this rest. Once one has the object of substance, there is no purpose served in observing the shadow that has no substance.

I do.

I'm an Orthodox Jew. I start preparing for Shabbos earlier in the week. There are a list of things I don't do on Shabbos: drive, use electrical appliances, etc.

There's a much more interesting list of things I DO do: Have guests for dinner or lunch AND/OR be the guest of someone else--eat too much!--talk with friends about Torah, sing, pray, go to shul, take a wonderful nap, spend time with my daughter. That's a typical Jewish Shabbos.

Well I work for the Church, so no I actually work on the Christian Sabbath (Sunday). But I do have the Jewish Sabbath off (Friday and Saturday). Saturday I try to do as little as possible.

The Sabbath used as a day of rest, was established in Mosaic Law. Christ fulfilled Mosaic Law and gave us a New Covenant. We are to keep EVERY day holy unto God, not just one day singled out. And that doesn't mean we're supposed to sit on our duffs and do nothing, it means that every day belongs to God.

God bless!
