In my mind, a beautiful girl is someone who is dignified, gracious, has a classically beautiful face, and a nice, healthy figure (be is slim or curvaceous).
A hot girl is only hot because she has a good body and wears a lot of makeup, and not that much in the way of clothes.
Do other people see it that way

It's a fine line. A beautiful girl is someone not wearing a lot of make-up, self-assured, well spoken, personable, easy going, fun to be around, and you want to go out of your way to meet/talk to/see. A hot girl is someone who all you can think about is what she's like in bed. Dresses like someone from a magazine/movie/tv, self-centered, knows she's hot and demands attention because of it, and someone who would not interest me. I'd rather have someone I can talk with and enjoy her company and have chemistry with rather than someone who looks good and takes about 2 seconds to get her in the sack.

Yes we do distinguish. A beautiful girl is, as you said, dignified and confident, the type of girl a guy could see himself having a long relationship with.
A hot girl is usually full of make up and false tan and stuck up her own ****, guys just like these girls for a quick bit of fun...
Not morally the best way to judge people but we (men) are assholes a lot of the time

Hell yea I do.... my girlfriend is the most beautiful girl on earth (beautiful face, slender body, curves are elegant rather than busty... she doesnt wear makeup and she is still the most beautiful girl on the earth) and this girl aleshia in my class is HOT (big boobs but not saggy, not very slender but her fat is firm so it adds to the effect, NICE ***!) lol. I much prefer beautiful over hot in a girl... you can keep starin at a beatiful girl even when you arent in a sex mood.
EDIT: and attitude has a LOT to do with it. Hot girls have more of the 'dirty' attitude and beautiful ones have the nice, loving attitude, to make it simple

Beauty comes from within, so a guy might not see a girl's beauty until he really knows who she is as a person. Some girls who are "hot" turn out to be very ugly people.

A beautiful woman, doesn't necessarily have to have a perfect body. She is beautiful because of the way she acts and presents herself and for the person inside that she is, No acting. just the beauty of her feminine side.
A hot chick is usually someone who has a perfect body, wears slinky clothes. and not always does the makeup make her hot. its the way she is, slutty looking. inticing to men, a player, a tease. A hottie.

I think a hot girl can also be beautiful. I think a lot of people think of a HOT girl as being a girl with a great body she can sometimes not be as beautiful but often times is very pretty...sometimes she can be a hag but have a great body. It just depends.

Beauty, always wins over hot. Hot is good for a quick glance, and gets you noticed but apart from that its definitely beauty all the way for me!!

some people see it that way some people don't. for example most of the time it's teenagers that only think about how hot the person is what they wear how big their breasts are what their body looks like some males are like that and even females are like that. and than theirs the other people who like you from whats in the inside and don't care about how hot you are which is the write way to go. :)

I agree with your definition of Beautiful.
In my mind,
"Hot" is equivalent to Sexy.
A girl can be pretty and sexy,
without being beautiful.
And a girl can be both beautiful and sexy.
but I don't think a girl can be sexy
if she isn't at least pretty or cute in some way.
