No, the world will not end in 2012. No one can predicate when Jesus is coming back. If the world was to end in 2012 the 7 years apocalypse would of already started, which would of started with Jesus coming back.

I used to for quite a long time. The reason was various indicators that were accepted as ancient wisdom pointed to that time. For example the Mayan Long count finishes on that date, which also coincides with a certain configuration of the milky way that they used as a guide to events.
The calender that foretells the great events of the future that was built into the Great Pyramid also comes to and end at that time, signifying there was no future.
However for 2012 to be valid, there would have to be the Tribulation starting in 2005 that would last for 7years. It did not occur, so 2012 is definitely out. There are seven of the predictions made by Christ that immediately precede the end times that are actually happening now. But how long these signs last for nobody knows.
A year that is divisible by both 7 & 12 would seem to be favoured.

I find it interesting that all these modern day prophets are latching onto the year 2012 after discovering that the Mayan calendar states that the end of this age will end in 2012...not the end of the earth. So many people WANT this to be the tribulation, this is why they do this. I just watched a program on a new finding of a document by Nostradamus and they claim that what he wrote says the end will come in 2012, when it said no such thing. It was all "interpretation" to sell books.

Interesting, I read a book the other day and was saying that it may not be the end but the beginning of a new spiritual era. I don't know but there is a planet called Nibru in our solar system that comes every 3,000 years or so. It causes havoc on our planet along with others. ls it true? I don't know, I keep an open mind to many things cause there are a lot of writings on it. Read Zacharia Sitchens books. A lot of older writings say something will happen at this time.

No But I do believe that that date does have significant value. Many culters point to that day as a day which the world will have a drastic change. I believe that the world will have been enlighten to the point of complete revelation of true spiritual understanding and all will know just why we must be forgiving and loving to one another.

The future is what we make it, and can not be predicted. Don't use some ridiculous prediction, to stop you from doing, what God wants you to do. God wants you to develop your talents fully, so that you can contribute along with others, to solving the very serious problems in this world, and help make for a better tomorrow for us all

the bible warns you not to believe any doctrine that says the world will end in such and such, for only God knows. and all these doctrines of the end of the world people are putting out is only pushing Atheists farther and farther away from God. but the bible also says that will happen, that people will hear about it so much they will stop believing the lords coming.
but also the day you die is the end of the world for you.

Simply put no man knows the day or the hour.
Even if it was going to be in 2012, there are 365 days and a lot of hours.

No, because I'm suppose to be graduating later than that, and it will SO NOT end in 2012! I mean, global warming won't affect Earth a lot till like waaay later. Or something else.
